The Gate of Shanhai opens, and an ordinary boy is chosen by an ancient beast.
Lin Chuan awakens through an old jade relic and is pulled into a modern city where legendary creatures are returning. Qiongqi is only the first signal that a larger mythic world is breaking through.
Pressure
Panic spreads, the jade awakens, and Lin Chuan is forced into a contract he does not yet understand.
Reversal
A family relic becomes a binding token, and an ordinary teenager becomes the one Shanhai has been waiting for.
